We have been retained by one of the world’s largest aerospace & defense tooling manufacturers to find a talented Program Manager to act as a Site Leader at their high-profile defense customer location in Palmdale, CA. Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain trust with the customer by providing regular updates on project status, risks, issues, and improvement plans. Act as the primary liaison between customer teams and internal project managers.
- New Business Development: Identify and pursue new project opportunities within the Palmdale site and other customer locations to drive business growth.
- Project Oversight: Oversee the installation and integration of tooling and equipment, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to customer satisfaction.
- Classified Program Management: Manage classified War Room meetings and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Supplier Assessment Management: Oversee the SAMS (Supplier Assessment Management System) process, ensuring accurate performance ratings and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills, Education & Experience:
- BS in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial), Construction Management, or Business with a focus on Project Management preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted.
- Proven experience in Program or Project Management within the aerospace or defense sector.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to access to classified program areas.
